'Plan of the City of Victoria, Hong Kong': showing district names and numbers, named roads, the Peak Tramway, public buildings, military and naval installations, open spaces, cemeteries, the Pokfoolum Conduit and syphons, water tanks, and proposed extensions to the Naval Yard and Eastern Praya. Scale: 13 inches to 2 miles. Compass indicator. 'Drawn and Engraved for the Directory & Chronicle'; [printed by] John Bartholomew, Edinburgh. Inset: plan of the area between Lin Fa Kung Temple and Mint Dam. MS additions, coloured, highlighting a proposed extension to the Naval Yard. Originally illustrating a printed petition of Hong Kong residents to the Secretary of State for the Colonies, 4 April 1903, which was forwarded in Governor Sir Henry Blake's [despatch] number 184, 8 April 1903.
