This series consists mainly of diaries kept by Col Prescott during his service with the Control Commissions for Germany and Austria in 1945-48, with a series of annexed papers. Some diary entries go back to 1940 and include the period when Col Prescott was co-ordinating local resources policy for the Allied Forces in North Africa and Italy. The annexes to his diaries include a complete set of all Bipartite Board documents published up to 26 April 1948. |
