Four letters concerning paupers being sent to England. A draft of a letter to CE Trevelyan from M Phillipps inquiring out of what funds the passage money for the Irish paupers sent to England is paid; a letter to M Phillipps from Trevelyan at the Treasury, stating that John Burgoyne is to inquire into the circumstance of the assistance alleged to have been given to paupers in the Skibbereen Union to proceed to England; a letter to Phillipps from Trevelyan transmitting the enclosed letter from W Stanley, Secretary of the Relief Commission Office regarding the report of the Relief Commissioners in Ireland as to assistance given by Doctor Donovan to 580 paupers from Skibbereen sent to England; a letter from John Burgoyne transmitting his enclosed report regarding the proceedings of Donovan, stating that it does not appear that he employed any public funds.
