Southern Europe: 76th Panzer Corps reports success of German probable remotely-controlled tanks against Allied positions at Anzio/Nettuno bridgehead, Mar 15; Italian battleship Cavour to be fitted out in Trieste as a jointly-manned Italian/German floating anti-aircraft battery, Mar 2; German intelligence authorities aware on Mar 17 that following planned Allied air attack against Yugoslav airfield at Banjaluka overnight Mar 18/19 area would be attacked by some 800 guerrillas.

Russian Front: bomber crew volunteers sought by GAF HQ Berlin to return to Germany for cross-training to fighter aircraft, Mar 16; German Army in general retreat on Southern Front, 304th Infantry Division exhausted and re-grouping west of Kalinovka; sea supply route Constanta - Odessa to take priority over shipping supplies to Crimea, Mar 13.
