Respondent: John Doxford of 9 St Bede's Terrace, Bishopwearmouth, Sunderland, and Richard Wilson Bowman of Bridge St, Monkwearmouth, Sunderland, owners of the barque Hawthorne. Subject: Collision between said vessels on 23 Nov 1862. Lower Court: High Court of Admiralty of England.
