Appellant: Robert Ware Simpson, Thomas Simpson, Caleb S Jenks, E K Harding and Levi Houghton, all of Bath, USA, and also C J Meeker and L W Houghton, both of New Orleans, USA, owners of the ship Carlyle. Respondent: Messrs Scotti and Muzzino of Monte Video, owners of the barque Grazia a Dio, and Messrs Buff, Seipelt and Company of Liverpool, Lancaster, owners of a portion of the barque's cargo, and also Messrs Nickolls and Eastly of Liverpool, Messrs McNair, Greenhow and Co of Manchester, Messrs White and Schevedor of Liverpool, Messrs Moillet and Gann of Birmingham, Messrs Tellersity and Verni, George Benjamin Rovis, Henry Rieter, Messrs Ganzoni and Livesey, Messrs Bond and Usiglia, Antonio Sciller and Co, Fritz Steinback, Guise Henke, Messrs Thomann and Co, Pilligrina Branchino Antonio Rossmann, and Messrs Lange and Co, all of Trieste, owners of parts of her cargo.
