Description: |
Bernard Francis Castle FLOUD and Ailsa FLOUD: British. A communist at Oxford University in the 1930s, FLOUD's views may have moderated subsequently. After the war he worked in the Board of Trade and became a Labour MP. He was interviewed by MI5 several times in 1966 and 1967 after suspicions were raised about his communist past and possible involvement with espionage, but no definite conclusions were reached. FLOUD committed suicide some months after his final interview |
