The Enterprise Allowance Scheme was introduced in 1983. To make a claim for money under the scheme a organisation had to fund their business with the first £1000 and produce a basic business plan.

These records were created in the Youth and Adult Training Division of the Training, Enterprise and Educational Directorate of the Employment Department Group.
