Description:

Folio 274: Sir Cloudesley Shovell, the Neptune at the Nore. A report on the Court Martial proceedings and the people present. Charles Leadbean and Robert Wilson were accused of deserting the St Paul fireship. They were both young lads, Waterman's servants, and were given leave to go to London for clothes. Their masters John Davis, and Richard Woodstock defended them and would not allow them to return to the ship again. They were acquitted. 12 named Captains listed. Enclosed in f271.
