Yvonne Helene KAPP, aliases MAYER, CLOUD, 'BIMBO', Rachel KAY: British. A novelist writing as Yvonne CLOUD and a Communist Party member of some standing from the 1930s with the Party name of Rachel KAY, Yvonne KAPP was in touch in 1937 with a Comintern agent in Paris. From 1939 she was Assistant Director of the Czech Refugee Trust Fund until dismissed in 1940 because of her communist activities in the Fund. She was later employed by the Amalgamated Engineering Union, the Medical Research Council, a publisher and the Communist Party itself |
