Barrow was on horseback among rebels [Jacobites], when Pretender's Son [Charles Edward Stuart] passed through Lancaster after retreat from Derby [Derbyshire]. Sworn before Justices of the Peace Allan Harrison, James Fenton ('Doctor of Laws') and Marmaduke Drinkell ('Doctor of Physick'). Dated at Lancaster. Filed with:

1. Folio 116. Copy. Information of George Singletone, flax dresser, and his wife Ann Singletone. Originally from Poulton in the Fyld [Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire], now living in Lancaster. Information against Edward Barrow. Saw him with rebels in Lancaster. Sworn before Harrison, Fenton and Drinkell. Dated at Lancaster.
