To: The General Board of Health.

From: Lewis Waller, Manchester Square [London].

Subject Matter: Letter asking payment of expenses for work carried out making reports on 'Alleged cases of death from washing cholera clothes' and 'Enquiries into the present state of the vaults and catacombs of the Metropolitan Churches'. He has deducted all charges for his time, reducing the account from £180 7s 10d to £30 4s 10d, 'although the real expenses caused by a series of illnesses consequent on the Vault Investigations more then trebled that amount'.

With a draft reply that the Board have directed the expenses be paid.
