Folios 437-439. Letter from Robert Boden, Smalley, to the Poor Law Board, regarding the appointment of a medical attendant to the Heanor district of the Basford Poor Law Union. Boden is bringing attention to the Board that he is better qualified for the post than Mr Grant, the person that was appointed, and has a surgery resident fully qualified assistant in Heanor. Grant has 'merely' the College of Surgeons Diploma, while Boden has this and the Apothecaries Hall Diploma. He feels he is best qualified and asks for their ettention.

Annotated: acknowledge state his letter will receive the Board's attention. Send copy to guardians for their observations.
