These are records kept by Sir Ian Malcolm, the British Government's senior nominated director on the Board of the Suez Canal Company in Paris from 1919 to 1939. The volumes contain letters from British government departments, the majority from the Foreign Office but with some from the Treasury and Admiralty, together with copies of Sir Ian's letters to London. There are no minutes on the papers; each volume has a list of contents. |
