This series contains the reports of the Experimental Demolition and Experimental Tunnelling establishments, reports and miscellaneous papers of the Experimental Bridging Establishment and reports, technical notes and miscellaneous papers, photographs and drawings of the Military Engineering Experimental Establishment (MEXE).

Subjects include boats, rafts, pontoons and bridges, notably the Bailey bridge developed by the chief designer (later director of the establishment), D C Bailey, as well as road and airfield construction equipment and engine tests.
