Mainly draft out-letter books of correspondence of the Secretary of State, Northern Department, 1726-1744, with some precis books of correspondence, in and out, of the Secretaries of State of both the Northern Department and the Southern Department, 1756-1775. The series also contains miscellaneous correspondence and papers of the Secretaries of State, including correspondence of the Commissioners appointed for inspecting the accounts of the Allied Army in Spain, Portugal and Italy during the War of the Spanish Succession, 1708-1713.
