Custodial history: The treaties were previously kept by the State Paper Office until its incorporation into the Public Record Office in 1854. However, some ratifications of treaties after 1760 were temporarily transferred to the Foreign Office and were housed in Whitehall Yard until their final removal to Chancery Lane
