Captured ship: La Comtesse de Buzancois (master Jean Andre Lux).

History: a French privateer (150 tons, 20 guns, 144 men, formerly the English ship Harpooner), bound from Le Havre on a cruise; taken on 9 December 1780 near the Isle of Wight by HMS Solebay (Charles Home [Holmes] Everitt commanding), and HMS Portland ([Thomas] Lloyd,esq commanding), and brought into Plymouth.

Court papers: 1-16; Ship's papers: 17-20. [These are interim paper numbers, and are likely to change once more fully catalogued].
