Captured ship: Betsey (master Offin Boardman).

History: an American merchant ship (85 tons, 10 men, 3 passengers), bound from Nantes to Virginia, laden with salt, linen drapery, woollens, millinery; taken on 11 April 1780 in latitude 42°N, longitude 40°10'W of Paris by the privateer Union (John Broom commanding), and brought into Poole.

Court papers: 1-11; Ship's papers: 12-105. [These are interim paper numbers, and are likely to change once more fully catalogued].
