Eric Edward DUTT, alias CHAND. A British Indian with a reputation for being a scientific adventurer, DUTT was said in the 1930s to have been delegate of the Indian Revolutionary Party to Franco's Spanish Government. In France during the Second World War he was in contact with the Abwehr and in 1941 offered his services to the British. However, the conclusion reached was that DUTT was living off his wits as a professional spy
