Wenzel JAKSCH: Austrian; German; Czech. Leader of the Bohemian Socialist Party in the late 1930s, JAKSCH arrived in the UK as a refugee in 1939 and became London Representative of the Sudeten German Social Democratic Party and leader of the 'Jaksch Group' among the refugees supported by the Czech Refugee Trust Fund. The file includes much intercepted correspondence to and from Jaksch, showing his anti-Nazi stance while safeguarding the interests of the Sudeten Germans vis-?-vis the Czechs. After the war he went to Germany and in 1953 was elected a member of the Bundestag
