Aaron Lwowitch SCHEINMAN, aliases SHEIMANN, CHEINMAN: Russian/British. A revolutionary from 1903, in 1920 he became the first Chairman of the Soviet State Bank and held other senior posts. He resigned following a disagreement with Stalin but maintained good relations with the Soviet Union and remained in the West, finally becoming the manager of Intourist in London. He was naturalized British in 1939 |
