Description: |
Gaston Georges QUIEN: French. In 1919 QUIEN was put on trial in France for his part in the betrayal to the Germans of Edith CAVELL's organisation which was established to help Allied servicemen to escape from Occupied France and Belgium to the safety of Holland. The file contains a collection of papers concerning the investigation of QUIEN from the General HQ Intelligence file on the matter and includes evidence for the claim that it was British Intelligence in France, investigating the betrayal of Nurse CAVELL, who first discovered QUIEN's role in the affair and brought it to the attention of the French authorities |
