Herbert George ROWLANDS, alias Roland MILLER: British. He served in the International Brigade in the Spanish Civil War. He later joined the Merchant Navy and in June 1940 the ship on which he was serving was sunk and he was taken prisoner. He was interned until June 1944 but was released when he joined the British Free Corps. In February 1946 he was sentenced to two years' imprisonment for conspiracy and assisting the enemy |
