Description:

Commissioners for Sick and Hurt Seamen. Waited on Lord Anson to be told he had read the journals kept by the several Surgeons in the ships under the command of Mr. Buckle to Guinea on Dr. James Powders and he approved of them and asked for them to go to the Admiralty in an official manner. These powders were recommended by Dr. James and myself and were to be sent to Captain Buckle at Plymouth by the Bristol and the Surgeons were to send their accounts to your Board. Is sending those sent to me by Captain Buckle
