Content: Folio 19. Letter from John Need, Chairman of the Mansfield Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission, replying to their letter of 15 January 1838. The letter from the Commissioners was read to the board of guardians and Goodacre was subsequently reprimanded. Any further complaints would result in a request to dismiss Goodacre from his post as clerk. Annotated: send to Gulson [Edward Gulson, Assistant Poor Law Commissioner] for his information with reference to papers already sent. Paper Number: 621/C/1838. Poor Law Union Number 337.
