Content: Folios 87-88. Letter from Charles E Deacon, Town Clerk, Borough of Southampton to the President, Poor Law Board, concerning the Poor Law Amendment Bill. He refers to his earlier letter concerning Southampton Common being added to a parish outside the town and requests that the Poor Law Board will receive a deputation from the Council to place their objections. Annotated: Acknowledge and state that the Bill has been withdrawn. The Bill which is to be substituted for it may well remove their objections. Paper Number: 20206/1856. Poor Law Union Number 407.
