Description:

Folio 1: Rear Admiral Sir Horatio Nelson; disease or hurt, amputation of right arm. Put on sick list, 20 August 1797 (continued from the Theseus's journal). Discharged 1 September 1797. The Surgeon was appointed from the Theseus to attend the Admiral to England. He landed at Portsmouth, 1st September [1797], would not suffer the ligature to be touched.

Folio 1: Captain Freemantle, aged 32; disease or hurt, gunshot wound by a musket ball passing through the biceps muscle of the right arm on 25 July. Put on sick list, 20 August 1797. Discharged 2 September 1797 to shore.

Folio 1: Lieutenant Douglas, aged 23; disease or hurt, wounded on 25 July by a musquet ball passing through the first metacarpal bone of the right hand after it had ulcerated and destroyed a great part of the teguments of the hand, the fore finer and part of the metacarpal bone was amputated. He was very much emaciated and extremely nervous. Put on sick list, 20 August 1797. Discharged 1 October 1797 to Haslar Hospital.

Folio 2: John Turner, aged about 45, marine; disease or hurt, wounded on 25 July by a musquet ball entering near the vertibre in an oblique direction. The ball was not extracted, much emaciated from large discharge, the thigh and leg of the left side considerably tumified and loss of motion. Put on sick list, 20 August 1797. Discharged 3 September 1797 to Haslar Hospital.

Folio 3: Robert Robson, aged about 30, seaman; disease or hurt, received a wound on the 25th July by a musquet ball passing through the rectus cruris muscle of the right thigh two superficial wounds. Put on sick list, 20 August 1797. Discharged 3 September 1797 to Haslar Hospital.
