Folios 15-16: Catherine Young, convict, aged 31; case number 10; sick or hurt, dysenteria (had been delivered of a male child on 15 July 1848); put on sick list, 2 August 1848 at sea, died 6 August 1848.

Folios 16-17: Catherine McNamara, convict, aged 25; case number 11; sick or hurt, melancholia; put on sick list, 22 June 1848, died 2 September 1848 at sea. The convict possessed a weak and delicate constitution, had the melancholic temperament in an exquisite degree. She had been under medicinal treatment in the infirmary of Grange Gorman Penitentiary, previous to her embarkation in the Kinnear. In Kingstown harbour, Dublin, she was thrown into a violent hysterical fit at the sight of a Roman Catholic priest (who officially and with permission from the authorities in the Castle) visited the prisoners on board. Suffered exceptionally from sea sickness and its depressing effects.

Folios 27-29: Bridget Ryan, convict, aged 24; case number 21; sick or hurt, puerperal fever (delivered of a seven month child who lived but a few hours); put on sick list, 24 September 1848 at sea, died 29 September 1848.

Folios 29-30: James Doyle, convict, aged 3; case number 22; sick or hurt, diseased mensonteric glands; put on sick list, 29 September 1848 at sea, died 1 October 1848. This child's mother stated that he had a severe bowel complaint at Grange Gorman Prison, Dublin long before his embarkation.

Folio 30: Henry Richardson, convict, aged 6; case number 23; sick or hurt, hydrocephalus (acutus); put on sick list, 8 September 1848, died 2 October 1848. After the mother's conviction, her little boy was sent into a workhouse in Ireland, where he contracted a bowel complaint, from which he has not recovered when sent on board the Kinnear.
