Caption order and prison record from when he was convicted of stealing £2 10s from the person of James McCormack at the Quarter Sessions at Nottingham, Nottinghamshire 18 October 1859.

Then aged 20 years and by trade a lace maker.

Sentence: 3 years penal servitude.

Licence granted 31 March 1862, for early release from Chatham prison.
