Content: Folios 437-439. Letter from H Saunders [Henry Saunders], Clerk to the Guardians of the Kidderminster Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission. Mr Power's [Alfred Power, Assistant Poor Law Commissioner], suggestions for changes in the diet of the inmates of the Kidderminster Workhouse have been accepted [by the guardians], and the experimental diet is enclosed. Dietary table showing weekly dietary regulations for able bodied paupers describing amounts of different foods given to men and women, showing changes in rations. Annotated: information has been requested concerning the trial period of the change in diet. The enclosed dietary table [not included], has been incorrectly copied.
