Volumes of registers compiled under the supervision of the Factory Inspectorate which concern cases of the following specified industrial diseases contracted in any factory, or in other premises to which the provisions of the Factories Act as to the notification of industrial diseases applied, and reported to HM Inspector of Factories on Form 623 in accordance with the provisions of the Factories Act 1961 and its predecessors:

  • Mercurial poisoning
  • Carbon bisulphide poisoning

  • Toxic anaemia
  • Epitheliomatous ulceration
  • Chrome ulceration

Each register covers a calendar year (up to 1951 when registers ceased to be kept in this form) and contains an index of cases and a summary of fatal cases.
