Catalogue description Assize by the Crown against the Abbey of Mirevall on the ground that King John had been siezed of a messuage and a Carucate in Altekar, while the Abbot maintained that King John had given the demesne between Ribbel and Merse to Ranulph, Earl of Chester and after his death it had passed to his sister and heir Agnes wife of William of Ferrers and from her to the Abbey. No judgment appears
