Indenture whereby Thomas Clapton, son of Thomas Clapton, late of Clapton, gent., deceased, binds himself apprentice to Francis Steward of London, mariner, for five years to be instructed in 'the Arte and Misterie of Navigacion'

 

Witnesses: Edward Radcliffe, John Carter.

 

Endorsed: 'The Counterpart of Thomas Clapton's Indenture of apprentishipp to Captain Steward... This is to be delivered to John Clapton Esq.'
