Hopes to come to London soon and to see the Braggs. With enclosure: copy of letter to Sir Henry [Thirkill], Master of Clare [College, Cambridge], 15 Jan. 1958; ¾ page, typescript. W.L. BRAGG/57A/76 Thanks him for comment concerning her son's failure to get a scholarship to Clare. Her son is on a course at Grenoble University. He is entered for Clare in 1960. Asks if there is anything her son could do to further his chances. Will send a copy of her letter to [Lawrence] Bragg. Sorry to learn that Thirkill is retiring. |
