Administrative / biographical background:

Father Buckley was born in Birmingham in 1911 and came to Manchester with his parents who lived in Whitefield. In 1938 he joined St. Ignatius as the rector. He went to St. Peter and Pauls Theological College in Dorchester at the age of 24 in 1935. He is still living and running St. Ignatius Church which was built by Lord Egerton 1903 - it is a copy of a church Lord Egerton saw in Borgadeira, Italy.
