Description:

The following special sub-committees were formed for specific reasons, sometimes sitting for just one session, for the purpose of undertaking the project stated in the sub-committee title, the Birmingham theatres, especially the Old and New Repertory Theatres, featuring more prominently. The description here lists all relevant minute volumes, dates and minute numbers together. This has been done to avoid making the hierarchical structure of the catalogue too complicated. The special sub-committees that reported to the General Purposes Sub-Committee are listed below:
