Humphrey de Stafforde, knight, of Dorset, and Thomas de Berkeley, lord of Berkeley, knight. 25 July 2 Hen. V

 

Whereas Humphrey is bound to Thomas and his executors in 600 marks, Thomas has granted that, as Humphrey has the marriage of James son of James de Berkeley, knight, brother of Thomas, by grant of Thomas, the which James son of James is heir male apparent to Thomas for the entailed inheritance, Humphrey will maintain James in an appropriate style until he has his inheritance, and if Humphrey will marry James to one of his daughters the bond will be void.
