f.101. 13 June 1840. William Chinn, son of Job Chinn of Coventry, weaver; to Lucy and John Clowes of Coventry, silk dyers, for £3 premium from Baker, Billing and Crow's Charity. The masters have the option of paying to the father of the apprentice 4s.6d. weekly for the first two years, 5s. for the third year, 6s. for the fourth year, 7s. for the fifth year, 8s. for the sixth year and 10s. for the seventh and eighth years, instead of maintenance, except during absence.
