Act to authorise The Herne Bay, Hampton and Reculver Oyster Fishery Company to relinquish a portion of their oyster grounds, to abandon their pier and tramway at Hampton, and to change the name of the Company to The Herne Bay Oyster Fishery Company 1875, labelled H. Report of The Board of Trade 1875, labelled J. Brief in support of a Rule for Mandamus with depositions by Allen Fielding, solicitor, Canterbury and Henry Tilbe Humphrey, dredger. Fielding related that many members of the Plummer family, members of his firm, had acted as stewards of The Whitstable Oyster Fishery Company, attornies for them and also for The Herne Bay Hampton and Reculver Oyster Fishery Company, including Edward Plummer, his brother Stephen Plummer, his father Stephen Plummer and his great grandfather John Zachariah Plummer for some 62 years.
