John has granted to Martin the holding which he had by grant of John de Poley and Muriel his wife, and 6 messuages, 100 a. of land, 6 a. of wood, 11 a. of meadow [etc.] in the vills of Sampford Magna and Parva, also two windmills, one in Magna Sampford called Geynepokemelne and the other in Parva Sampford called Castelmelne, also 36s. 5d. annual rent from various holdings in Sampford Magna, Sampford Parva, Taxstede, Berdefeld Magna and Berdefeld Parva; to hold in fee.

 

Witnesses: Sir William Poucin, Sir Robert de Ros, Sir Philip de Welle, knights, Henry Grigge, Richard de Taleworth, Ralph Giffard, Richard de Sampford, William de Lacre, John de Heyham, Simon Maynard, William le Parker, Bartholomew Sparwe.
