Description:

Johanna Haynes of the precincts of St. C atherine near the Tower London, widow to William Thomas and John Dowsfeild of same for 200 marks.

 

The condition of the obligation that whereas Wm. Thomas and John Dowfeild stand bound in £200 to the master of St. Catherine's and his attorney and successors for the administering of the goods, chatells and debts of Richard Haynes late of the St. Catherine's nigh the Tower dec. and other causes in an obligation of 28 November 1578 for Johanna Haynes the administratrix of all the goods etc. of Richard Haynes dec. which obligation remains in the register of St. Catherine's if Johanna Haynes acquits William Thomas and John Dowsfeild against the Master of St. Katherine's, his successors and all their officers concerning the sum of £100 in which they stand bond; and whereas it may happen for Johanna to marry again; if Johanna, her heirs and executors, before the marriage shall take place shall put in the register of St. Katherine's other sureties in their places to be bound to the Master her husband's goods, and after to take out the bond and cancel it, after which cancellation present bond to become void.
