29 May, 10 Henry VIII Grant by William Justice the elder of Reading to William Wattis, mayor of Reading, John Hopton, Nicholas Hyde, Richard Turner, Richard A Man, John Barfote, Robert Blake, John Vansbye, William Davye and Thomas Myrth of a tenement with adjoining garden on the south side of Castle Street [Castell Strete] in Reading between the tenement of William Justice in which Richard Awtye lives on the east side and the garden of the abbot and convent of the monastery of Reading on the west side, which William Justice, together with Thomas Bye, now deceased, had as the executors of the will of Richard Wryght, lately of Reading, baker, by gift in the will of Richard Wryght Richard Barnys is granted power of attorney to deliver seisin No witness list 29 May 1518 Endorsed : note of delivery of seisin in the presence of Richard Clech, Thomas Carpent[er], Thomas Vachell, gentleman, Robert Bryll, William Edmond[es], John Wye and Richard Awtye and many others |
