History: | A.S.G. Blackmore was educated at Stoneygate, Leicester, Oakham School, Rutland and then seven years at the Nottingham School of Architecture. Following National Service (in which he was commissioned in the Royal Engineers), he transferred to the Army Emergency Reserve and finally the Regular Army Reserve of Officers. In 1961 he was appointed as a Magistrate, serving thirty years on the Bench, (with twenty as Chairman). He practiced in Architecture for 47 years, retiring in 1993, from his home in West Ashton. In his spare time he pursued a love of music, and published An index of composers in 1993. |
