Date: 1538-1985
History: An ancient parish in the hundred of Clifton. In 1835 it was included in the Biggleswade Poor Law Union, which established a Rural Sanitary Authority in 1875, and this in turn became Biggleswade Rural District Council in 1894. In 1974 Biggleswade RDC was abolished and became part of Mid Bedfordshire District, and in 2009 this was in turn replaced by Central Bedfordshire Unitary Authority
