They will be moving their Archive to a new, purpose-built home at The Postal Museum. To help them prepare for the move, they are currently closed, reopening in The Postal Museum in mid-2017. They will continue to answer emails while the Archive is closed but will be unable to do any research, copying, or Family History Research

  • The Royal Mail Archive includes records of The Post Office and Royal Mail from 1636 to the present day, including working files, staff records, visual records (poster, photographs, artwork), stamps of Great Britain from the Penny Black onwards, and records of British postal markings over four centuries

  • Public record material is also catalogued under POST reference in Tha National Archives' Discovery
