The West Yorkshire Archive Service, Kirklees office is now temporarily closed while staff carry out essential work to prepare the irreplaceable archive collections to move into a new home in early 2023. The WYAS Kirklees office will reopen to the public within a new location in spring 2023, full details of this reopening will be announced shortly. During this period of closure the service will be offering a restricted remote enquiry service limited to essential/legal enquiries only in order to minimise disruption to the work to protect the archive collections. Unfortunately they will be unable to respond to enquiries relating to academic, family history or local history research during this time
