War Office: Field Marshal Lord Kitchener, Secretary of State for War: Private Office Papers
The papers in this series originated in the Private Office of Lord Kitchener as Secretary of State for War from 5th August, 1914 until his death on 5th June, 1916.
The papers were put together by his private secretary at that time, Mr. H. J. Creedy (later Sir Herbert Creedy, Permanent Under-Secretary of State for War) and have been known as the "Creedy Papers".
