Privy Council Office: Letter Books
This series consists of Privy Council Office letter books.
The volumes are indexed and run from 1825. Until July 1899 they are entry books of out-letters, and thereafter they are carbon copies of out-letters.
Most of them relate to the general business of the Privy Council Office, but a few of the earlier books concern specific subjects such as quarantine, contraband, etc.
