These stopping up orders from Manchester Crown Court were issued under the Manchester General Improvement Act 1851 and, prior to 1956, were deposited locally with the quarter session records of the Salford Hundred.
Some certificates are accompanied by associated documents, such as copies of public notices, photocopies of plans, photographs, etc.
